Certified Organic Whole Hawthorn Berries (Crataegus monogyna)
These hawthorn berries are derived from one of the many species of Hawthorn commonly used in the U.S. This plant is part of the Asteraceae family. Hawthorn berries are commonly used to as an ingredient in oxymels, confections, alcoholic beverages, tea blends, tinctures and jams.
The white film that may be present on some berries are the naturally occuring sucrose that matures on the outer skin.
